Who's Who

Rector: We are currently without a Priest

Christ Episcopal Church Norwich is a Christian Community committed to living out Matthew 25:37-40 in the City of Norwich and the surrounding area:

This means we have to go out into the community and find the needs.  We do well with hunger thanks to a few dedicated souls, but there is far more to address.

We are looking for a part time (ideally 50%) Priest in Charge who can walk this journey with us while leading us spiritually.

Norwich is the largest city in Eastern Connecticut.  It is an historic city with attractive parks and riverfront.  It is 15 miles from Long Island Sound and attractions such as the Coast Guard Academy, Mystic Seaport, the Submarine Base, and many parks and beaches.

CEC is a welcoming and affirming church.

To apply, please contact the Rev. Lee Ann Tolzmann, Canon for Mission Leadership, Episcopal Church in Connecticut at

Director of Music Ministries: Jesse Nathan Glaude

Jesse is a summa cum laude graduate of the Westminster Choir College, where he studied sacred music, choral conducting, organ and harpsichord. Among the honors garnered there, he was named an Andrew J. Rider Scholar for distinguished academic achievement, was elected to membership in the National Music Honor Society Pi Kappa Lambda, and was organ scholar at the prestigious Nassau Presbyterian Church. His primary professors included Mark A. Anderson (organ), Gerard Farrell (Gregorian chant), Robin Leaver (sacred music), Robert Carwithen (improvisation), James Jordan and Andrew Megill (choral conducting).

He continued his training at the Princeton Early Keyboard Center under the tutelage of harpsichordist and recording artist Gavin Black.

Jesse has been Director of Music at Christ Episcopal Church in downtown Norwich, Connecticut since 2005. He is founder and Executive Director of the Christ Church School of the Arts and of the Chamber Music at Christ Church series; each created to enrich the artistic life of the community through both professional instruction and performance.

Jesse Glaude is Past Dean of the New London County Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and chairs the Guild's committee for New Organist Development - which annually awards the Roberta Bitgood Scholarship to young musicians seeking a career in the field.
